A Tall Tale about a Snail and a Whale

A tiny snail is desperate to get out into the big wide world; so she hitches a lift off a handsome humpback whale in order to get the most enthralling and exhilarating experience. However, when this majestic mammal becomes beached then it is up to the miniscule mollusc to save him from his fate and get him back into the water as quickly as possible. Something so small attempting to save a huge creature from a terrible fate may seem like a rather ridiculous concept; but her efforts prove to be worthwhile in the end. It does not matter that she is considerably less sizeable than her sea-dwelling travelling companion as all she wants to do is get him out of a sticky situation and will make sure that he is safely transported back to the water without coming to any harm. It is a touching tale about friendship and loyalty which never wavers; even in torrid times; and you will be charmed and enthralled by the quite beautiful events which unfold before your very eyes should you choose to attend a performance of ‘The Snail and the Whale’ at the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays.
