Rammyfest is Coming!

People associate the lovely little town of Ramsbottom with steam trains, black pudding and potato hash, but it has far more to offer these days. Sure, it is still quite quaint and olde-worlde in places, but is that necessarily such a bad thing? It is far nicer than having to jostle through the crowds at half past six in the morning when the Next Sales are on, rifling through piles of clothes to find a bargain. The only reason you even dared to brave the throng is so you could show your other half that you can go shopping without spending an absolute fortune on unnecessary garments; most of which are shoved to the back of the wardrobe; never to be seen again. ‘Rammy’; as it is referred to by the locals; is situated on the course of the River Irwell; and is a stone’s throw away from the thriving, bustling metropolitan borough of Bury. And come this Bank Holiday weekend, it once again plays host to the wonderful ‘Rammyfest.’

Completely free of charge and jam-packed with performances from artists around the country; the festival is a true reflection of how the town is moving up the rankings as far as the ‘cool factor’ is concerned. In fact; Rammy now boasts quite a collection of up-and-coming restaurants, burgeoning bars and quirky shops for you to have a nosey at. If you are feeling charitable then you will be pleased to know that all proceeds go to Bury Hospice; so it would only be fair to give back to the community and drop a few pennies into the collection bucket whilst you are there. There is live busking from noon onwards in the town centre as well as a daytime disco on the Sunday afternoon for those who are feeling up to a bit of a boogie buy viagra buy diazepam 10mg canadian pharmacies after last night’s shenanigans.

If you are a serious clubbing fanatic and remember the good old days of the Hacienda then head on down to the First Chop on the Saturday night where the resident DJ Graeme Park will be havin’ it large on the decks? And because it is a Bank Holiday you have decided to cut your losses and book the Tuesday off for good measure as you want to explore the sights of Manchester before you have to get the train home.
