The Sunday Express calls it ‘the most happy, funny, sunny show in town’. Hairspray, the ultimate feel-good show, has finally arrived in Manchester!
Set in the ‘60’s Hairspray tells the tale of plump teenager, Tracy Turnblad, who challenges and overcomes society’s attitude toward body image, beauty and race. Her dreams are big, her heart is big, and her hair is even bigger.
With over 22 award winning nominations, Hairspray has dominated the world of musicals since the original Broadway production debuted back in 2002. The show went on to be adapted into film format and graced our screens in early 2007, with the likes of Zac Efron, Queen Latifah and John Travolta where to buy ambien online clamouring to be a part of the production.
Hairspray is showcasing at The Lowry and will be in town until the 23rd of February. Ticket prices range from £29 to £46.
