The Perfect City Centre Bar to Watch the Derby

In case you hadn’t already heard, the last Manchester derby of the season kicks off at the Etihad on Saturday, and The Mitre is the perfect bar to watch the match!

The Manchester clubs are both sitting at the top of the premier league table, and if Manchester City manage to secure a win, they’ll guarantee they are the premier league champions. With a win against United, City will become the first team in premier league history to clinch the title with five games remaining, so the stakes are high.

The Mitre is based right in the centre of Manchester, next to the Printworks and Corn Exchange, providing an atmosphere you’ll want to get involved in. We’re showing all of the important matches across the weekend, including the Manchester Derby, which will kick off at 5:30pm.

It’s going to be a long day of sport, so why not try out one of the lovely dishes off our menu. If you’re bringing the kids along to watch the match, we also have a variety of childrens dishes available.

We’ve also got various drink offers on Saturday, which will keep you going throughout the day.

If you’re heading to the city over the weekend to watch the Manchester Derby we still have rooms available. Why not spend a night at The Mitre, giving you more time to celebrate or commiserate, depending how your team performs? You’ll also avoid the fare increases the taxi companies put in place when the city centre is busy.

So, if you’re in town for the Manchester Derby this weekend why not give us a visit? Whether you’re going to the Etihad and need some where for a few drinks beforehand, need somewhere to watch the match, or have left it last minute for somewhere to stay, we can sort you out at The Mitre!
