Manchester Christmas Markets
Whether you’re counting down the days or you’re still brushing away the fake cobwebs from your Halloween décor there’s no denying that the holidays are coming!
Manchester’s Christmas light switch on is planned for November 14th with the Christmas Markets opening just before on Friday 8th November. The beautiful lights dressing up lampposts, trees and buildings all about the city centre have truly brought a magical sparkle to the city and an exciting inkling of Christmas spirit to Manchester.
All the market’s log cabins are standing poised to fling open their doors to fascinated market revellers. The famous Witch House Bar is a must-see spectacle on Cathedral Street – with it’s giant bratwurst signage and gingerbread inspired appearance. Stop here for mulled beverages, sausages of course, beers and a spot of shopping.
The markets at Exchange Square will open from 10am to 7:30pm daily in November and 10am to 8pm daily in December – great news though as the bar and food stalls will open until 9pm daily if you want to soak up the atmosphere!
If you’re not quite finished celebrating the beginning of the Christmas countdown or big crowds aren’t your cup of tea, not to worry! We’ve got you covered with our bar and restaurant opening daily ‘til late. Serving our awesome winter food and drink specials from 12-8pm including our festive favourites such as lamb casserole and pulled beef chilli served alongside mulled wine and luxury Tanquery Sevilla hot chocolate. So beat those long queues and chilly temperatures and join us for drink or two.
Manchester’s amazing addition to the markets this year is the Ice Village which opens on November 8th at Cathedral Gardens in the family zone outside the Football Museum, ice fans can also look forward to the return of the beloved ice-skating rink at the same site.
