Halloween family activities: Exchange Square
Spooky Specials! By Ceebeebies and CBBC
This weekend grab your little ones and head to Exchange Square for viewings of the kid’s channel favourites including: Zig & Zag, Creeped Out and Strange Hill High. Children (and parents) can also look forward to a nostalgic pre-screening of Danger Mouse’s Halloween Special!
The shows take place at Exchange Square on Saturday 27th October and Sunday 28th October from 10:00am-12:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm on both days.
Theremin Performance from Charlie Draper
The Theremin is a curious electronic instrument, it looks like something straight out of Frankenstein’s laboratory and carries a ghoulish, other-worldly sound! Join Charlie Draper at Exchange Square on Saturday 27th of October from 12:00pm-1:00pm where he’ll play the Theremin live – feel your neck hairs prick up and pimples on your arm with this spooky performance ahead of Halloween!
Campfire Stories of Spooks and Monsters
Gather round, gather round and listen to the creepy stories of spooks and monsters from professional story tellers at Exchange Square. Let your imagination run away as the actors animate the legends from the stories and bring you live spooky storytelling at dusk. The event features a digitised campfire to really give that folky feel. Sunday 28th of October at Exchange Square 5:00pm-6:00pm.
Spooky Pooch Costume Show
Maybe we’ve saved the best ‘til last on this one! We’re super excited for the Spooky Pooch Costume Show at Exchange Square. The costume contest is free to enter and will feature dogs in all their Halloween glory dressed up by their owners – with one winning a spectacular prize! If you’re a creative canine lover then grab your free ticket and give it a go! There’s a prize in it for best co-ordinating costume too!
